Re: Exmoor trim!!!

I know someone has had a couple of sets done at his local re-upholsterer.

He reckons it's cheaper than buying the Exmoor Trim kit and doing it himself, though I don't know if the material is equivalent to Elephant Hide!

Re: Hi from Australia

Hi Chris, Middle of England for us - near Wakefield/Leeds, West Yorks. Not quite the open country you live in, but we have travelled as far as Morocco through France & Spain, Ireland to do the southern half of the Wild Atlantic Way, and the Inner Hebrides, all in our Carawagons. We also camp in the ...

Re: Ebay-UK Series 3 Dormobile

Hi Jeremy, Interesting - that is only listed on the USA Ebay site HERE - it doesn't appear to be listed on the UK Ebay site! On a galv chassis, but looks like the bulkhead needs work round the vents. I think the S3 dash does make it a little quieter inside - all that plastic and foam must block some...

Re: County 110 with pop top roof

I've not seen that one before - it definitely looks purpose made for the Defender/110 though as it's shaped around the windscreen and rear door. Nice low profile as well. We did, at one time, have a link to someone's site where they listed and showed loads of pop tops for Land Rovers, but the page n...

Re: Hi from Australia

Hi Chris, and Welcome.

Where in Australia are you - I know it's a big country, but there are a few LRCC members 'down under', and it's one of our favourite holiday destinations - when travel is allowed again! :tiphat:

Cheers,
Robin.

2021 Spring Adventure Overland Show (Stratford) Cancelled

Just announced by the organiser, Tom, on the facebook page that the Spring Adventure Overland Show at Stratford racecourse has been cancelled :thud: (Web page still shows it's taking place, but I think that's just waiting for Tom to update) The first of quite a few cancellations, I would think, unti...

Re: Looking for help - Posting from UK to Aus

Hi Glen, Do you know the size & weight of the parcel? Do you know if it would actually be cheaper to send via another courier - have you tried some websites of couriers or comparison sites in the UK to see what they would charge? Don't forget there may also be customs charges which Exmoor might have...

Re: Another Carawagon!

It was so he could leave the window open for his dog.

He used the vehicle for his job, which meant he was sometimes away from home for a few days and the dog would be left in the Carawagon while he worked.

Cheers,
Robin.

2021 Events and Shows

Hi guys & gals, Here is a list of some of the shows/events which have been provisionally confirmed for 2021. Obviously these events will depend on the prevailing Covid-19 restrictions at the time. I hope to be updating the list as things move on. It is not intended to be a complete list of all Land ...

Re: Dual battery options...

Hi John, I can see why you might want a set up like that to swap between your different 'campers', but I can't help thinking a permanently mounted leisure battery, solar panel and split charger might be less messing about each time you stop  That power pack does look good though - technology ...
