Oh, i might be misunderstood !
In my opinion it is NOT a real carawagon, but a standard 109 with a carawagon roof.
I cant tell if the "wheel arches" are carawagon style, either. The fridge(?) is positioned, as if there would be the standard "wheel bench" behind, but

Re: Carawagon on Australian Gumtree, Victoria
MY roof (should be 1964 as well) has different (rectangular) windows. Side windows are recangular and small as usual for carawagons on the offside. Nearside mine are completely different, greenhouse style. http://s1189.photobucket.com/user/wienun/library/Carawagon?sort=3&page=1 So id guess 1963 ...

Hi Chris;
it is, it is !
Used it during the season, as no one wanted to buy.
Now again (still) for sale.
Cheers

Re: For sale Carawagon in Germany
Lets see, what the future brings.
I would like to drive a bog standard 2a 88 (fits in my garage) and a small caravan behind it (home, sweet home), and i would be happy.
cheers
Stefan

Re: For sale Carawagon in Germany
  Youre right, but dont tell HER ! Theres a second reason: Now i live in the city and there are NO chances to park the car in the street. The Carawagon is way too high for my underground car park. So i found a place to park it some 1 mile from where i live. Nicely tucked under a car po...

Re: Roof box design
I didnt find a decent box with the right dimensions till now. So i will have to go either alli or wood and create a box myself. Alli would be more weather resistant, but i cant weld alli. Wood would look the part and would be easier to build for me. Expences for decent wooden panels and proper varni...

Re: Roof box design
Hi Jabbawocky, i am still thinking of a (wooden) box for my roof rack. When (if) i get to it, i will let you know my solution. Base should be varnished in clear laquer and the top (lid) limestone of course. Just to fit the appearance of the carawagon roof top. Just not sure (for the moment) how to g...

Re: Roof box for Carawagon wanted
Hi Robin, yes, i saw some pictures of your car already, but never realized that it opens to the front. Not too bad an idea ! Jabbawockys design ( or better Searles ) with the supporting struts going straight up to the railing of the rack would then lead to a solution with two angles at the front pan...
