Re: 1000 mile trip
My first ever drive abroad was in the Dormobile with 12 Land Rovers from all over UK to do an Italian off road rally. I won a big cup but I dont know what it was for! I returned 3 years running and toured France Germany and other Euro Countries on the way there and back. The LR speedo wasnt good at ...

Mine has done 30 years with me, 10 trips to Italy to take part in Italian Land Rover Club off road rallies (and won the first three!), followed by 18 years as my mobile workshop working as...

Re: Famous Italian on holiday
If anyone thinks they could copy and print the picture, which is newspaper black and white (i.e. nearly all grey) and get it on here I will gladly post the page to you. I am a mechanic and dont even have a modern camera, never mind a scanner or anything digital, but I warn you , it is poor newspaper...

Famous Italian on holiday
Todays news in Corriere della Sera, one of Italys leading morning newspapers.
A picture of famous Italian writer Alberto Moravia on holiday in Tamanrasset, Algeria.
His transport?
A Series 2A Dormobile! What else could you choose in the sixties? Maybe a camel train.

Re: Dormobile roof colour?
Mine is a 1964/5 and the roof is body colour (Light Green), and there is no sign of white/limestone anywhere, even the inside is unpainted fibreglass.
Sorry to upset the thoughts!

Re: Dormobile Roof Refurbish...........
Greetings from Italy. My 64/65 Dormobile has never had its roof off but the water has always blocked at the first hinge so maybe its normal? At least down under you have less rain than I was used to in Yorkshire. Now i live in Italy there seems to be just as much rain as in the UK. Yesterday a cloud...
