Re: Demountable Camper
Hi, Looking at those pictures again, I think they may be of the body shell of a ROMINI trailer caravan ... nominally 6ft x 6ft x 6ft high. Try an Ebay or Google search for ROMINI CARAVAN. Be warned, they are now a cult vehicle, expect to pay £3.000 or thereabouts. But that will include a trailer cha...

Re: Demountable Camper
Hi, It looks like this subject has been dormant for a spell, but as I've only just arrived here, I'm attaching a couple of pics (somebody else's) of a Romahome Demountable pod on a D110. It looks "right". There are usually a few Romahomes on Ebay. Avoid the coach built versions, unless ver...

Hi, Herewith, I hope, some pictures of my 1959 S2 109" mentioned in "WELCOME" The picture of the pod on it's jacks is of somebody else's Romahome. I will be using 2 ton side winding jacks to lift mine ... I could find anything more appropriate that had sufficient lift, and even then, ...

New concertina.
Hi,
My roof was once fitted with a vertical action pop-top - make unknown. The concertina fabric has long gone, and the GRP top is going to need re-inforcing ... a couple of layers of "mat" should sort that.
Question! Where can a get a new concertina fitted?

Hi, There is provision, somewhere in the DVLA web site, that allows you to build a "new" vehicle from parts that are all at least 25 years old .... and get a registration that is approriate to the age of the youngest component. However, there is no evidence that anybody has ever done it.It...

Re: Little know towing regulation.
Sorry, back again, I "done a Google" for VEHICLE OVERHANG, found the following. 602 Overhang Maximum permitted overhang of the body beyond the wheelbase for cars and heavy motor cars is equal to either 60 per cent of the wheelbase or the maximum distance the rear of the vehicle may swing o...

Re: Little know towing regulation.
Hi again,
Reading further into the article, I found ....
...Unlike with a car ... being based on a light commercial vehicle ... doesn't need a Type Approved towbar.
Does a Land Rover count as a Light Commercial?
