Re: Newark Tractor show 2021
How did it go? Well, if you like looking at tractors, it was fine - plenty to look at! Classic cars - apart from our Land Rovers, there were three!! A moggy, an old Ford, and a mini-van. There were a few commercial vehicles lined up, one traction engine and probably about 25 stationary engines as w...

Re: New brakes for Dormobile
Hi Bob, Yes, we've got 6 pot front brakes on a couple of our Carawagons, and they are very effective. However, I've still got standard 4 pot front brakes on another (with servo), and I can still lock them up in an emergency stop, as demonstrated on the way back from our last pub meet when a car pull...

Re: Newark Tractor show 2021
That's a shame Rob.
Let's hope 2022 is a much better year for getting away and talking nonsense round the firepit!
Cheers,
Robin.

Re: Newark Tractor show 2021
Most of the usual crew will be there Simon.
For some of us, this will be the first show since Newark 2019
Hopefully we'll make the most of it
Cheers,
Robin.

Re: Carawagon project on Ebay
Well done - the price was a little bit unrealistic for the condition, in my opinion, so good job in negotiating

Re: Hello from Dorset
Welcome Andrew,
I see you overcame your wife's worries about lack of space etc.
Ask away, plenty of folk on here will help out, if they can

Carawagon project on Ebay
This was on Ebay as an auction, reached £9,900 at auction end, but "Reserve not met". From the write-up it needs the roof woodwork side panels, roof rack and all roof seals replacing, new rear crossmember, small chassis repair, carb sorting out etc. Now on as a "Buy it now" at £1...

Re: Bea the Dormobile up for sale again
The advert is HERE
Is that the same wording as the original advert - or is it just coincidence that the current owner is also selling to go off sailing, like Phil did?

Re: Classic Land Rover (magazine) gathering 24-25 July
I was all ready to go last year, but ..............
This year we're getting the garden, house, cabins etc. ready for our daughter's wedding & garden party on 31st July, so all LR stuff is off the table until August

Re: Exmoor trim!!!
I know someone has had a couple of sets done at his local re-upholsterer.
He reckons it's cheaper than buying the Exmoor Trim kit and doing it himself, though I don't know if the material is equivalent to Elephant Hide!
