Ebay no.301139336830

(I have just bought a spare to restore, how many carawagons is enough?)

Re: Robin doesn't own every Carawagon.
Hi Robin, Bench seats are both 54" long with the back cupboards 21" The front seats make up the extra length. I like the way your table works but I still can't see how mine would have worked as there are only 2 leg fittings one at either end in the middle of the table/cupboard front and no...

Re: Robin doesn't own every Carawagon.
Not a very good photo but it was the only one I could find Robin
The front of the cupboard has 2 fittings for screw in table legs but I have no idea how or where it fits to be used as a table,
anyone got any ideas?

Re: Robin doesn't own every Carawagon.
My carawagon has a cupboard on either side at the back and 2 bench seats/single beds that pull to the middle to make the double, this allows access tthe deep lockers under the seats and yes it makes a very good every day vehicle having the deep windows on either side. As there is no bulkhead behind ...

Re: build and dispatch dates
Hi,
How do I go about finding out the build date of my landrover, it was registered 25th April 1975 but I am guessing searl would have had it for a while to convert it. It would be good if the build date is early enough to make it tax exempt (very wishful thinking)

Windscreen glass
Hi, My carawagon has one piece of glass for the windscreen, is the laminated glass something I can get cut at a normal glass cutting shop if I provide the template or is vehicle laminated glass special. I really must change it soon one of the chips is starting to crack, it must be pretty old as it h...

LPG landrover question
Hi, Just wondered if anyone knows if LPG powered vehicles can go on ferries. I am thinking of taking my LPG powered carawagon to the Hebrades, the LPG conversion was done a long time ago by the previous owner but I have no paperwork. It has a range of 290 miles (2x50ltr tanks under the body) Also is...

Re: Rear tent
We assemble the roof section 1st then lift the whole lot to put the corner poles in, not a one person job. I have another carawagon body and roof that has the pull out poles but no tent to go with that one, probably a better design as you don't need to carry the bulky poles inside the vehicle. Event...

Re: Rear tent
This is the free standing tent that was with my carawagon when I bought it. It does not have the pull out awning poles but has free standing poles with a couple of poppers on the roof that the tent fixes to.
