Re: Little know towing regulation.

Hi, The words in the arlicle do say ... "must in no case" ... My memory tells me that I have also seen 1.2 metres mentioned, but I can't find anything to support that. In the same paragraph as above, it goes on to mention the, quote, 85% guidline . My understanding is that the 85% refers o...

Little know towing regulation.

Hi, Well, I've never seen any other reference to it. While clearing my loft, I came across a cutting I'd taken from a glossy Campervan magazine a few years ago (more than 3, less than 10). The article was about towing with a campervan. The reason I had saved it was athe paragraph that said ... ... D...

Re: Dog trailer brakes

Hi, The early S2 LWB brakes can ... I think ... be modified to have a rod/cable operated hand brake to each rear wheel, and still retain the hydraulics. It looks like the wheel cylinders were designed for hand brakes, and Land Rover cut the extra bit off. Er ... I happen to have a pair of back-plate...

Re: Insurance trials 2013

Hi, If you are involved in an "incident", even if you are in no way to blame, even if you don't make a claim, even if you have protected NCD, you can expect a 15% loading on your premium for the next five years. So do your sums, and add it to your claim. Your insurer may deny they do this ...

Changing password

Hi, I'm not exactly new here, but as my rebuilt is nearing completion, I came back to plan my next move. None of my three passwords were accepted, so I had to ask for a new one. I can't work out how to change my new password tpo something more meaningful to me. Can anyone advise, pretty please? 602

Re: Proper rare... ;)

Hi,

An 88" Carawagon was recently featured in LROi ( I might still have the magazine), with the comment that it was intended as a "bivvy" for anglers and such like, rather than as a camper.

Re: My Landy S2 project

Hi, Oh yes, I managed to get a set (5) of wheels with respectable tyres, from a 110 Estate, free , via Freecycle .... Google FREECYCLE + YOUR TOWN. The tyres fitted also looked like they had been standing for 27 years, the three that were still inflated were bulging through the rotten canvas. 602

Just got here.

Hi, Sorry I'm late, got delayed by the Verification Code thingy. I recognise several names from other groups, so I'll keep the intro short. John Williams (vintage 1939) from South Wales. My user name is based on my old RAF number, and I sign with my "last three". At my age, it helps me to ...
