Crashed Series 3, looks to need front end & bulkhead work. Was that the one in another thread a while back that someone had seen stuffed into a fence/wall shortly after being collected from Huddersfield? It's probably in Leeds.

I'll leave it for Robin & Alex to bid up....

Not for me - already have enough to keep me busy :tiphat:

I think it is the same one - though I thought it had been in really good condition, but looking at the footwells, door pillars and chassis, perhaps it was just cosmetically good looking
I doubt that rust has occurred from just standing around with damaged front end for a couple of years.

Looks to be a fairly straightforward restoration though, and all the internals look to be there

Cheers,
Robin.

I went on eBay but the seller didn't post the front dumb iron photos so I wonder what the new owner made of it when the collected it.

I was trying to help save this one as it had a council notice on it as an abandoned vehicle and its days were suddenly numbered. I had the address of the registered keeper but the vehicle disappeared and then appeared and quickly disappeared on eBay.

It was sold through Browns not that many years ago for quite a lot of money (not long before it was involved in an accident) and then just left parked up. Seemed odd to me. Either they didn't claim on the insurance and couldn't afford to fix it or they got a pay out and never bothered?

Either way I'd want to be very sure of there being a V5 present and it all being above board with the previous owner before parting with any cash... something about the whole thing seemed a bit fishy to me.

I hope it gets repaired and back out there.
