Bon jour from the Swiss Alps!
I was born in Hertfordshire, but have lived most of my life outside the UK - Tasmania, New Zealand, Rhodesia and now Switzerland. I have many years experience with Land Rovers, having owned a Series 1 and a 2A Dormobile. (I also owned a VW camper - but don' t tell everybody!) My current camper is another Dormobile factory conversion - unfortunately on a Defender chassis - but I hope you will forgive me!

Hi Tony,
Welcome to the forum, sorry to have missed you in France in June, Mick may have told you that I sold the Carawagon last year. Fond memories of those huge croissants delivered fresh to our campsite each morning that your good lady sourced for us.
cheers

Re: Hello!
Thanks for the welcome chaps!
Hi John. Was sorry to hear you had to let the Carawagon go - I know the feeling! At least you had another great African trip first, and your ' Colonel' project is very interesting. Hope we can share croissants again soon - perhaps at 'Le Bal des Series' in September?
All the best,
Tony

Re: Hello!
Hello and welcome,
I am going to build up a IIa Dormobile as a forth coming project, but in the mean time I have a 110 Csw and a Dormobile pop up roof (fitted to a 110 roof sitting a the workshop). So I might put the roof onto the 110 to see what it is like to use as never had a Dormobile yet and the stuff is just sitting there.
