For those of you who registered early, thank-you, and well done!
I know the anti-spam-bot verification wasn't the best in the world, but it was the one which came as standard on the forum software, so it was left on.
However, after a few comments about registrations failing at the last hurdle despite repeated attempts to work out the code, I've changed the format to a 'simple code'.
Hopefully that should make it easier for new registrations
