Great, reminds me of a '65' motor a friend owned (for about a year). Looked just the same faded colour !

Another good looking dormobile downunder, and looks like in good condition, very nice, I think they like the climate down here, is there any history, will it stay as is, or a full resto ? Great find, Best of luck... Jock ...

Thanks Jock. I'm going to keep it pretty much as you see it now and fully recondition it mechanically. I have an original 6 pot and gearbox to go back in it - has a Holden 202 and Nissan 5 speed at the moment.
It's missing the wardrobe and kitchen unit and they'll be very hard to replace with originals. New ones or copies are an option - I'll wait and see. It's in pretty good nick - the rear crossmember has a little rust as do the A and B pillars but the rest is just surface rust and the body is dead straight - rare for aluminium panels this old!
The seats will need an Exmoor trim Dormobile kit though they don't look much like the original elephant hide pattern or colour. Still at least they're available. Also the falling $Aud might be good for the economy but not for buying anything from the UK at the moment.
It's a great project and I'm looking forward to starting it in the next month or so.
Regards
Gary

Sorry Jock - forgot to say the guy I bought it from knew no history of it except that the previous owner was a tradesman of some sort who used it as a work vehicle in Victoria for some years. Other than that he either didn't know or wouldn't say.
If anyone in Australia recognises it please let me know - would love to know its history.
Gary
