Seat refurbishment

Post by Troika » Tue Mar 15, 2016 4:27 pm

Got the first seat back today from Powder Coating, quality is excellent and the test piece withstood some serious abuse from hammer and sandpaper. The original frames had been subjected to numerous coats of just what was laying around by previous owners, including a powder blue at some time, but we found on parts of the base and back support what appeared to be original colour which was a warm beige grey, which by the power of colour technology the powder coaters identified as 70930, which when placed next to a new Exmoor cover looks good.

Close tolerance of some parts required more disassembly than I wanted to do, but to get the finish had to be done, now where did I put the schematic for the reassembly?

Target is for this all to be finished and vehicle ready for MOT before end of March...........will see if the schedule is too ambitious.
