Excellent thanks for that and the part number
Re: My camper conversion of PTV433M
No Worries.
Attached picture shows the RS Components rubber/stainless steel latches in place and the fibreglass gutter moulding over the rear end door.
Cheers

Cheers Chris. I'll be leaving the gutter off mine as I want to have a carawagon style awning but those rubber latches look well.
I had thought about using some Jeep windscreen hold down catches http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/231126763325 but now I've seen a photo of the ones from RS I think I'll be happy enough with the rubber ones

Re: My camper conversion of PTV433M
I bought a few of those jeep windscreen things and I felt they were rather disappointing.
Rather flimsy pressed steel conatruction, nothing like as good as the army bonnet catches.
I doubt the piant would last very long either.

Cheers definitely saves me wasting money on the jeep ones. So rubber it is then.

Re: My camper conversion of PTV433M
Bit of an update.
I have now swapped the station wagon roof for the Dormobile one and fitted another set of Carawagon awning poles to my series 3.
Hole cut in the fibre glass for the awning pole to go through. I was expecting to have to open up the hole a bit so it did not catch when opening but it clears it ok.
The hinges needed to be removed so the I could lift the fibre glass section up and drill the holes for the screws which hold the internal support brackets.
Getting ready to cut the holes that the top hat section goes into.
The outer top hat section needed the end cutting off as I was only really using this to tidy the roof up.
All ready to use just need to find some matching canvas so that I can make a cover for the awning poles.

Thanks for sharing Simon.
I must say, you do work fast! You only picked the awning frame up on Friday afternoon, and by Sunday you've got it finished
So, to anyone with a Dormobile roof who wants a Carawagon style pull-out awning frame - Yes, it can fit, if you don't mind a little hole or two in the rear
Cheers,
Robin.

Now I need an excuse to go out and use it for camping.
They're getting easier to fit now as this is the third I've done EEK

At some point I'll get a set of steps out and remove the masking tape from the sides of the window rubbers.

Brilliant Simon,
Caught this thread having replied to your question about pop top roof seals !!
What does the frame installation look like inside ? I wonder if it would fit around the spice rack and wardrobe cupboards?
Where did you obtain the Carawagon style awning frame from?
Kind regards
Chris
