Re: Newark Vintage Tractor & Heritage Show 10/11 Nov
Hello good folk of the Classic Camper variety.
Rumours of my death is, as they say, grossly exaggerated.
I have been very busy and we have had some bad illness in the family.
Indeed at one stageI was the only man standing.
Any road up, I have spoken to Bar-Bar-Bar, Bar-Barabara Ann (the delightful organiser at Newark) and I have definitely got my ticket to ride, so it will be a pire-fit and a bog-lurner warming our nether regions mid November.
When are folk arriving?
Nice to see young Brad coming too.
Looking forward to cold rice pud.
Cheers chaps.

Good luck to the Newark gang - sorry I can't be there but too busy packing for a flight on Monday to sunnier climes
Hope you have a good time and the weather holds up - I really enjoyed the 'last show of the year' last year
Cheers,
Robin.

And here's a few photos of our little encampment, sorry they are only phone photos, but you get the idea..
What's missing from the photos is the other half of Trevor's Carawagon alongside Philip's camper, and a Range Rover Carawagon nearby too.

Hi Patrick,
was it a good weekend for classic camper interest?
Is the carawagon missing from the photo the same wagon that parked next to ours at leafers?
I believe Gordon would of been toastie in his tent with the wood burner, so as we dont have a heater it was probably just as well we did not come along as it seems to be exceptionally cold of late.
Best wishes Les

Hi Les, Yes Wendy and I were nice and warm thanks for asking . You could always put a log burner in the tent you back up to that would warm the carawagon up if you left the back door open then you could join us next year.

Hi Gordon,
that would be an idea and you never know I may just do that.
Mind you I manage to get bacon and egg sarnies cooked on the wood burner in the allotment, I wonder if I could get Yvonne do that if I put one in the army tent.
Well I suppose thats it for shows this year.
Hopefully shows will be a bit drier next year not too much rain and cancellations.
Best wishes Les
