Hi all
Would those of you in the know, Please educate me on the correct cooker for a Carawagon. Pictures would be great and sizes of cooker. Pitfalls in purchasing a said cooker and prices one would expect to pay.
Looking for one to fit on the back door of our Carawagon.

Most of the original ones I've seen have been Dudley, white enamelled, with two rings and a grill, either fitted on the back door (like Patrick's), or fitted into the top of a cabinet inside (like mine).
I' don't think they were all white enamelled Dudley as there are some Carawagons I've seen (including my 1972 model) with more 'modern' type fitted so it could be that Searle used different ones according to availability or customer preference
This is the one on my current Carawagon (originally 1964) when I got it:
This is on one of my projects - on the door but not a Dudley - it looks original as it has the Carawagon badge, but it's a 1972 Carawagon (same year as Patrick's) so perhaps a change-over period
Patrick's is very similar, but his is a Dudley.
Dudleys come up on ebay occasionally, they seem to go for between £20 and £40, depending on how many folk are wanting it at the time!
If you get a second hand one, the only thing to watch is the O rings in the valves can harden and leak, but I've replaced the ones on Patrick's and mine with no problem.

You probably remember it in detail already Mick, but this is mine, far as I know it's original, and folds up against the back door when not in use.
Just high enough to be able to be used inside if necessary, though it's only an inch off the floor.
The side panels were something Dad added, as the breeze tends to affect the flame a lot the side protection helps. They live under the grill and slot in when necessary.
(Taken from a trip to Scotland when we forgot the chopping board and table legs...)

Thanks for the responses.
I want a cooker for the back door. Were the cookers mounted in a Carawagon manufactured case? Did Carawagon add the clips that hold the cooker closed? Should I make a strong case and mount a cooker in it or do the Dudley cookers come in a strong enough case?
