I've been meaning to give this a go for ages too... just need to find a dead tyre, with shallow tread, without the steel cables.

But I'm sure Steve will have an appropriate tool for doing it :cheers:

Aaah, the memories, these were all the rage in Algeria in the 70's - you could specify cross plies or radials for your custom made flip-flops - or Michelin X Sand Tread if you were going dune jumping :wink:

I appreciate the combined confidence of my worthy chums.
Need to make up an experimental version of said footwear (sans cables).
