Door seal Rivets and front dormatic seat
Re: Door seal Rivets and front dormatic seat
Progress... It took some wrestling, I have upped the foam a bit which makes everything a bit tighter... I have also firmed up the drivers seat base with some foam tubes in the springs, all quite comfy now and not too much bounce. I am dreading doing the others!

Looks a very good, professional result.DanC wrote:Progress... It took some wrestling, I have upped the foam a bit which makes everything a bit tighter...
Any pics/info on the foam tubes you fitted ? Let us know how you get on with the others.

Don't think I took a picture of the tubes before putting the original elephant hide base cover on... Basically I took 25mm foam and rolled it up tight, inserted into the springs and then trimmed off flush. I did about 90% of the seat springs, the net result being a lot less creaky spring seat than the springs alone with only a minimal weight gain. It just stiffens everything up a bit, I will probably do similar for the passenger seat.
The back will be done tonight, so hopefully a finished seat ready for fitting on the Dormi return this weekend.#
