Three way fridge

Post by Stuey » Thu May 16, 2013 1:25 pm

Hi guys,

I have a 3 way fridge for sale, I have tested it on 240 and 12 and it works fine but haven't tested it on gas, If it doesn't work on gas I shall quite happily refund you. I originally bought it for Caravan renovation, however I since noticed that the Caravans fridge is about 2" narrower and I don't want to go chopping out cupboards on the 'van.

Now the crunch, I apologise, but if you would like it, can I ask that it get collected / paid for ASAP this is so I can get funds to purchase another fridge that will fit the gap!

I'm open to offers on it, however a completed listing on eBay shows that they have gone for anything between £35 and £150.

If there is no interest I shall put it on the 'bay other the weekend.

Might be interested, but... Where is it, and are there any pics?

Cheers. Solves the transport issue: I'm in Sheffield.

Dimensions appreciated too so I can figure out if/where it'd fit.

Sounds quite big for the back of a carawagon. What's the depth of the units in those? Beds down both sides (front seats are part of those) so really only going to have two units at the rear.

Yep - that's a 'proper' caravan fridge.

The original Carawagon fridges were a bit smaller.

I've got one which needs refilling with ammonia, if I can ever find anyone who can (or is willing) to do it, and another, as yet untested, in one of my project Carawagons.

I can measure those up if you want, Rob, just to give you some idea what size you ought to be looking for

Cheers,
Robin.

Robin, yes please. Given I currently have no units it's a bit easier, but I'm concious that Stuey's fridge seems very deep compared to the available space in the back.

Stuey - will wait for Robin's dimensions before deciding.

Stuey - given the size, I'll pass. Thanks.

Robin - think you may struggle to get an ammonia refill. I've a feeling it's on the newish EU list of hazardous chemicals. If flushed would a modern equivalent be OK with the seals?

Ah but as its an absorption fridge you have little choice but to refill it with ammonia.
Specialist company job would be best these days. Ammonia is a bugger to work with, not like R12 in compressor systems.....
