Yes, that's the problem - finding someone who will still empty & refill it with the ammonia mix.
I understand there is someone who will remove all the pipework and replace it with the gubbins from a modern caravan fridge - at a price
I wonder how easy that is to do without damaging the pipes and joints from the new one
Anyone got a modern type caravan fridge they would like to donate for experimental purposes
Rob, I've measured the Carawagon fridge at 565mm high, 400mm deep, 380mm wide so a bit smaller than a standard caravan fridge.

If you do try it do so outside, where rubber gloves & safety glasses. Maybe overkill for the modern fridge, but not for the ammonia solution!
