Hello from me

Post by overlander » Thu Feb 23, 2012 12:11 pm

John H here, Carawagon Junkie, 40 years of bad road behind me, most of you have heard the story many times. Busy converting my Jerry T 2009 Billing Rebuild SWB 2A into a mini-camper, not quite the Abersoch Express but with a 7'x3' demountable bedboard, rear seat, porta(ble)loo, washbasin, cooker/grill and a fridge. First outing Littondale 16 and 17 March then on to Skipton 4x4 Spares Day on the 18th. Just bought a Rapido Exportmatic folding caravan - amazing - have a look on youtube.

cheers

HI John

You've bought another caravan! There was me thinking you were going to buy Jimmy Saville's Carawagon Range Rover.

Hi John.
Love the caravan.
Here's a guy taking down in less than 3 minutes.

Hi Steve,

Maybe someone should have been filming us today then - we had it up and down like a yo-yo (with a twisted string  ).

They make it look so easy on the youtube vids, but we just couldn't match their finesse :stars:

Cheers,
Robin.

I would have filmed it.
At least one good way to earn us £250 on YBF!

I bet that guy in the video took about ten takes to get it down below 3 mins.

What a cleverly designed piece of kit, how do they stand up to the weather ?? What are they made from ??
