Newark, 9/10 Nov

Post by RMS » Sun Oct 13, 2013 6:52 pm

Has anyone else received their confirmation letter?

I received mine yesterday :gold:

Oh, and I always like these rules on the form:

3. When reversing please ensure you have a banksman.
and
4. As soon as you are in position disconnect your battery and switch off your fuel supply.

See you there :tiphat:

Cheers,
Robin.

hi

i will be arriving at 6,00am on friday to collect
my banksman uniform.£150 for being a banksman
for 12 hours (including lunch)was a good deal.

I took the last place.the first half hour we are
being trained what to do and not do.

i have spoken to 2 people that did it last year
and they received lots of tips.one had a tractor run
over his foot but is ok now.

if you see a banksman with no 12 on their back that
will be me (as we have to wear a full helmet you
won't recognise me) health and safety!!!!!!

So you need a full helmet to protect your head, but can't then hear anything.... Definitely Elf & Safety! :banghead:

But who's going to be your banksman when you arrive and position yourself in our 'encampment'?

Got mine too - looking forward to seeing you all again.

hi

went to newark today and i have passed the
medical to be a banksman.

i don't really see the logic for directing lhd
vehicles when reversing with your left arm,
and rhd with your right.
