Hi all

Been told of a 1967 2a 109" camper (same roof as Frank's) that will be going to the scrap if not shifted by the weekend. Just wondered if anyone could recommend someone to shift it quickly and not too expensive.

I would go get it myself, but Barney is still in bits and even if on the road, towing all that way on a gearbox that has just been rebuilt, might not be the best move.

Truck in Kent, not far from M25, unfortunately. In an ideal world, my Plan would be to buy it, put a ticket on it and sell it on. It has the pop up roof, but has lost it's interior. If someone is willing to pay, I would be happy to fit it out. I could do with the work!!

Most important thing is to save it as it is such a rare Land Rover. It will never be as valuable financially as a Carawogon or Dormobile, but if the information I was given was correct, this is the other prototype vehicle Searle built?

Waiting for photo's to see if there is any identification that could prove or disprove this information.

I have decided to bit the bullet and have agreed to buy it. I have seen photos and it is definitely a Carawagon, but with a fiberglass roof. It has Searle badges, pull out awning rail, panorama windscreen and wing top protectors like John old bus.

Just got to collect it before Sunday or it gets crushed.

Better get that gearbox back in Barney!!! Do you think it 255 miles is a little far on an A frame?

Hi Robin

Bids on Shiply down to £275 + commission at present. Louise says should would rather pay than worry for a day that I have tipped the trailer on my head again. The problem is it can only be picked up Sunday, but one chap who has quoted says he does weekends. He is only £5 more than the cheapest and has good feedback.

Fingers are well and truly crossed.
