No I don't, but I have to catch up with the gentleman who has been servicing it for the last 30+ years. He should be able to fill some more of the history and maybe a few details like whether it ever had a sink & table. What fitted between the front dumb irons and what went on the roof etc. etc.
The people I purchased it from said if I can confirm that parts were with it when their Father owned it they will look round the farm buildings to see if they can find them.

P.S. I did try the hatch both ways round and had to tweak it a bit to fit it as shown. As you say re-fitting the seat was a PITA so this way I can move the seat forward to get to the hatch to fill the fuel tank. The previous owners must have had problems because most of the bolts were missing for the seat runners and the seat wasn't in the runners, as you put your foot on the clutch the seat shot backwards !

Those brackets on the front bit of the roof might be for the second skin of the roof. Mine has a roof like that. I can full well imagine the benefits of having a safari roof in Australia.

I thought it might be from a tropical roof but I've never looked at how they're mounted. Otherwise a roofrack maybe ?
I'll ask the chap who's been servicing it over the years when I catch up with him.

The two roof windows have been painted white, the side window behind the wardrobe removed and some insulation put inside the rear drivers side corner. Maybe heat buildup when in Central Australia.

Found yesterday that it has a spin-on oil filter, must have been modified at some point over the years. Did have some trouble tracking down the filter although I'm sure there will be others that will fit.
Also noticed a fuel filter the same as used on the 6-cylinder.

Btw regarding the access to the under seat area on the driver side...

Mine pivots after releasing a knob at the front of the seat box. 2 actually. Once they are undone, you can then lift the front of the driver seat up, including the sliding rail. The whole seat can be lifted up, and even lifted out in one go. There is no need to slide the seat completely out of the runners. Maybe that has been modified on yours as well at some point?

Is there any chance you could take a photo of your driver's seat assembly, because I haven't yet worked out how to get underneath the seat on mine, so i'm wondering if i'm missing a bit?

My front seat is fixed onto the standard Land Rover adjustable seat runners.





When sliding forward you have to be careful or the seat comes completely off the runners.

Your driver's seat assembly/runners doesn't look standard equipment, the seat runners should have a 90 degree slotted angle at the front which drops into a thumb screw affair which is fixed to the seat box The rear of the runners sits under a slightly raised bracket , again fixed to the seat box.

The idea is to undo the thumb screws, lift the runners slightly and then the whole seat lifts out to gain access to the gas bottles in the holder under the seat. A bit hard to explain and I can't find a pic, maybe somebody else has one.

I rearranged my seat box and have three storage compartments instead, with lids that are easily lifted for access. There is a thread about it somewhere in the technical section.

Just found this pic of my spare passenger seat, although not in a runner as per the driver's seat you can get an idea of how the runner should look with the folded section at the front.
