Woodwork
Good evening gents,
I need some help please, I stripped the woodwork off my series 2a station wagon a little while back to start refurbishing my vehicle. The company tasked with cutting new pieces closed doors last week and nobody seems to know where my sample pieces are.
Does anyone have drawings that may help in getting my vehicle back together ? PLEASE
KARL

Hi,
I am in the middle of putting the roof back together for a 109 1975 carawagon, I also bought a much earlier one to restore (approx.1968) they are quite different, you will need to measure the rectangular hole in the aluminium roof (the later one is at least 2"wider. Let me know, as I can easily sort you out some patterns.
Regards Christine
P.S where are you?

Re: Woodwork
Sorry I have been a bit busy with work, when I get chance I will drawer round the curved ends to make a paper template with the measurements for the rectangular side pieces drawn on it. I will also measure the bendy aluminium section (this is very damaged on mine but O.K for dimensions), in fact I will do that next so you can check against your roof, hopefully they it will be the same as mine then I can post you the paper template.
Reagards Christine
P.S it may take a little time, we hire out narrowboats and it is our busy time of year.

Hi Karl,
The older bendy aluminium roof measures 2440 x 1500 I think this should be the same as yours. The later roof that I have from a 1975 landy measures 2440 x 1600. Hope this helps, by the way we are at Rose narrowboats, the heart of the canal system with a good choice of routes. http://www.rose-narrowboats.co.uk
I think the carawagon is a fantastic design, such a simple idea and built by boat builders!
If the measurement of the ali roof is the same PM me your address and I will post a paper template.
Regards Christine
P.S. Does anyone know why the older roof has 4 large holes drilled in each corner of the bendy section? The later one does not have them.
