Hello from Amsterdam

Post by Julf » Thu Aug 29, 2013 3:01 pm

Hi, everybody!

I am the owner of a couple of ex-military Carawagons - as they are from 1978, I guess they don't qualify as "Classic". I also have a couple of other ex-military landies (SIIA, 101 and 110).

I am originally a Swedish-speaking Finn from Helsinki, but have been living in Amsterdam since 1997, and married to an American, so linguistically and culturally I am best described as "confused"...

Cheers,

Johan "Julf" Helsingius

Welcome Johan, confused of Amsterdam

It's always good to hear from someone overseas.

Do you have any pictures of your Land Rovers?

Best wishes,
Robin.

Couldn't find any of my Carawagons right now, but here is a rather atmospheric one of the 101 Vampire:

Nice picture.

We have to limit the picture size as we are hosting this forum on my business web server and I can't risk running out of space for paying customers

Fair enough - totally understandable. But maybe the limitation should only apply to locally-hosted pics, not remote IMG links?

Hi Julf,

I was lucky enough to exhibit one of your Military Carawagons at a couple of shows courtesy of Wayne D and we met briefly before I had the pleasure of aiming the Pinkie back to Harrogate whilst Wayne piloted the Vampire.

Welcome to the Forum and don't worry the Carawagons qualify.

Typical of Wayne to take the one with the V8 and the roof :)
