Re: June camp, Yorkshire Dales.
Hi Simon,
I don't think I'm going to have time, unfortunately!
It's not just a matter of cooking - it needs shopping for and preparing, and I'm just running out of time this week
We can put the grill on the firepit if anyone wants to bbq, if that helps?
Cheers,
Robin.

Hi all
Why don't we all cook (contribute food if you cannot cook) something and then share it? I am bringing my Grill/BBQ/Majmar/Firepit and my Tagine. Not 100% sure if I am coming Friday evening or Saturday morning yet?
Mick

No problem we'll bring some food and some wood just didn't want to bring loads of food then not need it.
Can we use your stove pretty please for cooking?

Re: June camp, Yorkshire Dales.
I reckon there'll be at least 3/4 firepits/stoves etc. available, so shouldn't be a problem
Cheers,
Robin.

Re: June camp, Yorkshire Dales.
Thanks for the pics Simon - I've pulled a couple out below
Yes, another great weekend, thanks all for coming.
We had no less than 5 Carawagons there - the usual crew of Steve, Phillip, Patrick & me with my daughter Hazel, then Andy for the first time in his "13 previous owner", but very well restored Carawagon.
John was there in his SWB converted camper, Neil & Freda in his LWB converted camper towing a tin snail, Mick & William in the Dormobile towing a Series trailer full of wood, and Simon & Jo in their partially converted LWB and tent.
The weather on Friday was fantastic - very warm and blue skies, until we turned into the valley where we camp - then it turned grey Still pleasant enough though, and Hazel had fun riding her bike around the fields.
Saturday morning turned very windy, causing our tarp to pull its pegs, and pulling John's awning out of its rail and sending it into the air!
That set the tone, unfortunately - wind, wind and more wind - and not caused by the baked beans!
Of course, with wind comes wind-chill, so most of Saturday was quite chilly, not helped by grey skies all day.
We were sent to bed on Saturday night when a short rainstorm started coming in horizontally under our tarp!
Sunday though, we woke to better weather, still a bit breezy, but at least we had the sun warming us.
Cheers,
Robin.
