roof ventilator - replacement seals
roof ventilator - replacement seals
The roof ventilator seal on my Dormobile is somewhat past its 'sell by' date.
Not sure if it is the original fitted by Dormobile. Most likely its been changed by one of the vehicles previous 17 owners!!
Please see some attached photos of what it looks like .
Not even sure if the seal should be on the roof cap up stand or on the ventilator itself?
Any help and advice greatly appreciated please.
I've replaced the roof cap seal with ETS1556 from Seals+Direct. This is an edge seal with a 10mm diameter bulb and has worked well.
Kind regards Chris

Dormobile UK sell them
Re: roof ventilator - replacement seals
Ok Dormobile sell the seals but not even they show what the profile looks like or how it fits.
Sorry to say I'm a bit sceptical about Dormobile after a replacement table purchase!!
Kind regards
Chris

Hi Chris
The seal looks like the seal I have on my Dormobile. I bought it from Dormobile about 8 years ago. Its feels a bit floppy and you wonder if it will work, but no water has ever come in. Just pushes onto the roof upstand.
Hope this helps
Mick

Depending on how close you are to one you could try a rubber supplier. I use one near Bradford and they have quite a lot of different sections in stock.

I'm down in Essex so some way from your Bradford Supplier!! Do they have a web site though?
I've used Seals Direct for the roof cap edge seal but cant' see a suitable profile for the ventilator on their web site or catalogue.
Thanks and regards.
