Camper Layout Details

Post by gossamer » Mon Apr 24, 2017 9:09 pm

Hi chaps. :hello:

I appreciate many threads contail details but I wonder if we could post layouts in this thread so they are in one place.

I am hoping to convert Sproggle's 109 and have sourced a lifting roof.

A few photo's/sketches of internal options here will allow myself and others to select elements that will suit our needs and, perhaps, prevent us from discovering that our ideas may not have been that great after we have spent a lot of time fitting them.

I know from my 110 that the fridge behind the driver and over a water tank works well, but to put the hob and sink opposite doesn't work at all.

The hob and sink would have been better on the same side as the fridge and would have allowed for a pull out bed to be used on the nearside.

Cheers

Matt

I'm not sure, but there might still be a Carawagon roof for sale in the Netherlands. But I would have to double check as the last time I had contact with the good man was some months ago... Even last year....

What you need by the looks of it is a Carawagon layout. The layout you discribe first with the cooker opposite the fridge is more like a Dormobile layout. But for that to work you need the Dormbobile seats if you don't want to sleep in the elevated roof.

This is my layout of Dora.

The seats all fold flat to form the double bed. The bubks in the top are for the kids.
This is a Dormobile layout. The new Dormobile layout is slightly different in a modern Defender.

Thanks. Carawagon roof sounds good.

That'll go nicely with the roof rack that you are guarding for me, thanks again.
