Hi guys,
After an aborted attempt at updating the server php version this afternoon, leaving the server database broken, I have now managed to get the site back up and fully updated to the latest version.
As far as I can see, everything is still there, with no data loss, so hopefully all will now work correctly again.
As the forum software has been updated at the same time, the pages will have a slightly different look/feel.
I will probably be checking and tweaking as we go on, but hopefully it will be another year or so before we are forced to do another update.
Regards,
Robin.

Re: Forum outage and update
Hi Robin,
Thanks for your hard work keeping the site working and problem free.
Can I ask you to change the colour for 'unread' posts, as the shade of red being used doesn't catch my (slightly) colour blind eyes enough.
Thanks again
Ian

Re: Forum outage and update
Hi Ian,
What part of the Unread Posts do you mean?
Is it the symbol to the left of the new post, looks like a skull, or the circle to the left of the board section?
I can change the colour if needed, or I can add in some more style pages, which you can change to in your profile, to see if any other suit you.
Let me know which symbol it is, and I'll try to get it done, but might not be today.
Cheers,
Robin.

Re: Forum outage and update
Hi Robin,
It is the 'skull' that gives me the problem, just not enough contrast in the red to pierce my vision. A darker shade of red would be fine or maybe the same big green box like the main page.
No rush, if I strain to look, squint sideways or ask SWMBO, it comes through eventually.
Thanks
Ian

Re: Forum outage and update
Hi Ian,
It looks like the old green theme I adapted for the previous forum software doesn't work on the latest version - I'll work on that and see if I can get it back again.
Until then - I've set it to use "Elegance" by default, the contrast is a bit better than the default one I think - hopefully it's enough to make it readable for you until I can can get our LRCC style back again.
Thanks,
Patrick
