S2 Club gathering - getting ready !

Post by Dormy » Tue Jul 29, 2014 9:04 am

Going down to Warwickshire early next week. Want to make the most of the trip so not just for the long weekend. We will be staying on to the following Monday too.

We will be taking our Esterel caravan as it makes it much easier to just up-and-go, than packing up Dormy every day. Also, if I want to go off green-laning etc. Dianne has somewhere to stay and read her book.

Got building work ongoing at home so haven't had time to sort the leisure battery and charging system yet. Will muddle through with something as I am definitely not flattening Dormy's battery again trying to run the fridge (but will have plan 'B' - Jump-leads and plan 'C' - the starting handle !).

Hope to see some of you there.

Spare tyre is brand new :P

Come to think of it - it was a brand new tyre that initially let me down on the way to Ripon :thud:

Thanks for the gift Dan, it fit's like a glove - pity 'cos it's a T shirt

A sunny weekend for the S2 rally, except for Sunday when we caught the edge of Hurrican Bertha. Off road course was fun in Martyn's 109, now with it's 300Tdi running well. Saw some shiny Land Rovers going round too and I hitched a ride in Steve Brich's Lola, he certainly knows how to drive it. :gold:

Spotted two Dormobiles, Dan's and Ian's but the Carawagon crew were notable by their absence - mind you fire pits were banned which is a good excuse :neener:

Sometimes there are more important activities
in life than a field in Warwickshire.

This from someone who has owned carawagons!!!!!
