LATP 23-25 August

Post by RMS » Wed Aug 13, 2014 9:06 pm

Well, the next big event (some would say the main event!) of the year for us is Leafers at t'Pit over the bank holiday weekend.

I'll be there - anyone else?

HERE

Cheers,
Robin.

Hi Robin

I'm afraid I won't be able to attend this year.

Will be supporting my wife in the unenvyable task of sort her mothers effects out.

Hope everyone has a great time.

Cheers Mick

Nope, me neither as I don't like being told where I can camp as a 'camper' owner... Not sure it is 'The Event' you missed yourself at S2C but maybe a little too far?

Mick, sorry to hear that mate, all my best to you and Louise.

Hi Dan,
No-one is forcing anyone to camp anywhere in particular :stars: What usually happens is that the 'Campers', once set up on the showground, don't have to up-sticks to move to the camping area each night, and so aren't counted in the limited number of camping places allowed. I thought I had already explained that
There's nothing stopping anyone camping on the campground at night (if they were lucky enought to get a camping pass) and moving their rig on to the showground in the daytime, or even leaving it on the campground where it will be hidden from the public.
Oh, and most of the campground is on a slope whereas the showground is level ground!

There were reasons other than distance which prevented me from attending the S2C rally.

No problem Mick.

I realise it's difficult to sort things out over a distance like that - at least our recent 'sorting out of effects' was very local.

Hope to see you when everything is settled.

Yes you did.... I still find it all a bit controlling and don't like this emoticon :stars:

The whole LRCC show/display/club/benign dictatorship thing puts me off doing these events I am afraid, I just feel there is more to the hobby than free show passes. As I explained before (whilst we are on the subject) I don't like this micro management of all things camper related, including Leafers at T Pit where it feels like we have to tow some sort of party line in a very OLLR kind of way.
